BAD LIEUTENANT "Never cry another tear" Due ex New order, Bernard Sumner & Stephen Morris, un ex New order aggiunto negli anni duemila, Phil Cunningham ed il bassista Alex James dei Blur. Un disco dalle sonorità pop/rockeggianti tipicamente britanniche, da affiancare nella propria discoteca a Twisted tenderness, terzo lavoro del progetto Electronic (Bernard Sumner + Johnny Marr, ex chitarrista degli Smiths) e Get ready, penultimo lavoro dei New order. [ file under: brit wave ]			ANNIE "Don't stop" Annie, electropop vocalist norvegese, ha appena pubblicato il suo secondo disco intitolato Don't stop che giunge nei negozi a quattro anni di distanza dall’esordio Anniemal. Annie attualmente vive a Berlino ed ha un gatto di nome Joey. Annie è amica di Peaches e le sue influenze vanno da Madonna ai Saint Etienne, dai Pet Shop Boys a Kate Bush. BEBEL GILBERTO "All in one" Quarto cd per Bebel, il primo licenziato dall'etichetta jazz Verve. Una dozzina di canzoni bossanova, easy listening e midtempo, equamente suddivise tra originali e coverizzate. [ file under: nova bossa ]			THE XX "S/t" The eponymous debut album from South London four piece the XX, draws influence from Young Marble Giants, Cocteau Twins and a hint of electronica and R&B. With these influences, the group craft delicate, melancholic, minimalist pop songs. Tender and seductive, this album is simply delightful. Includes the singles Basic Space and Crystalised. ROBIN GUTHRIE "Carousel" Se amate (o avete amato) i Cocteau Twins ed in particolare il periodo Victorialand, questa nuova fatica di Guthrie non vi dispiacerà. SUFJAN STEVENS "The BQE" In November 2007 Sufjan Stevens premiered The BQE at the Brooklyn Academy Of Music as part of their Next Wave Festival. A symphonic and cinematic exploration of New York City's Brooklyn-Queens Expressway this cd+dvd set features the original soundtrack and 30 minute movie, filmed by Stevens, Also included is a 40 page comic and a View Master stereoscopic image reel. Nel 2006, Glen e Marketa sono attori protagonisti, compositori ed interpreti delle musiche presenti in Once, un film che racconta l'incontro tra due persone che si conoscono e innamorano a Dublino. Nel 2008, a Los Angeles, Falling slowly, il tema principale del film, vinse l’Oscar come migliore canzone originale.
