FEVER RAY "S/t" Primo album solista per Karin, metà del duo electro pop The Knife ma che molti potrebbero ricordare come voce nel brano What else is there?, tratto dal secondo cd dei norvegesi Royksopp. Una decina di brani per la maggior parte claustrofobici ma attraenti. A quattro anni da Maarifa Street e a venticinque dal suo debutto per l'etichetta tedesca Ecm, con l'ispirato album Power spot, ritorna alla corte di mr. STEVEN WILSON "Insurgentes" The debut studio album from writer, producer & Porcupine Tree founder member Steven Wilson. Guests in the album, among many others, bassist Tony Levin and drummer Gavin Harrison. The final product inhabits a similar experimental realm as recent albums by Thom Yorke, Portishead, and Nine Inch Nails. NICK HEYWARD & HAIRCUT 100 "Favourite songs: the best of" 2009 two CD set from British singer/songwriter Nick Heyward and his '80s pop outfit Haircut 100. Disc One contains the entire first Haircut 100 album, Pelican West along with assorted singles and b-sides. Disc Two contains Heyward's biggest solo hits. 34 tracks including Love Plus One, Favorite Shirts, Fantastic Day, Warning sign, Laura and more. [ file under: poppy eighties ]		BEASTIE BOYS "Paul's boutique" In occasione del ventennale dell'uscita, ristampato il secondo album dei Beastie Boys, Cd digipack e lussuosissima versione in doppio vinile, apribile in tre come la versione originale del 1989. MY BLOODY VALENTINE "Loveless" Ristampato in versione doppia, il secondo disco dei MBV, seminale gruppo di musica shoegaze fine anni ottanta/inizio novanta. Loveless fu licenziato nel 1991 dalla Creation records di Alan McGee ed è considerato uno dei migliori album degli anni novanta. [ file under: shoegazer ]		DAVE BRUBECK QUARTET "Time out" E' secondo soltanto a Jazz samba di Stan Getz, in termini di successo di vendita di albums jazz, Time out del Dave Brubeck Quartet. L'album contiene la magnifica e conosciutissima Take five e la non meno nota Blue Rondo A La Turk. Un classico. [ file under: classic jazz ]

Recorded in November 1959, Davis teamed with Canadian arranger Gil Evans. Davis brought Evans the album's signature piece, Concierto de Aranjuez, after hearing a classical version of it and set about to create an entire album of material around it. 		SAINT ETIENNE "Continental" Nel 1997 l'etichetta L'appareil photo pubblicò, in esclusiva per il mercato giapponese, Continental, raccolta di singoli non presenti negli album del trio, cover e remix versions e materiale registrato nel periodo metà anni novanta. 		XTC AS THE DUKES OF STRATOSPHEAR "25 o' clock / Psonic psunspot" The Dukes of Stratosphear è il nome con cui il gruppo pop inglese degli XTC ha pubblicato un EP, 25 o'clock (1985), e un album, Psonic Psunspot (1987). Lo stile dei Dukes è chiaramente ispirato alla psichedelia anni '60, a metà tra omaggio e parodia. L'EP e l'album vengono ora ristampati in edizione deluxe con bonus tracks.
