Duo olandese autore di quattro discreti albums di musica pop lounge. Autori di uno dei miei pezzi preferiti del 2000, Spacebeach, presente nel loro Music for imaginary films. Il loro quinto cd arriva dopo una pausa forzata di cinque anni (si legge nel booklet di un incidente stradale occorso ai due) e presenta delle frenetiche sonorità beat (cfr.: Shake it).

In 2003 a girl from Sweden called Sarah went to a Spanish island to sit on the beach and muse about her life. She'd been making music as long as she could remember but nothing quite matched the melodies that lived in her dreams.

JANE WEAVER FEATURING DOVES
"Seven day smile"
Jane, autrice come solista di un mini lp (Like an aspen leaf) e di un album a nome Misty Dixon (Iced to mode) ha lavorato e suonato in passato a fianco di Andy Votel, Badly Drawn Boy e Doves. Questo le procurò un contratto discografico con Rob Gretton (manager dei New order) che avrebbe dovuto portarla all'incisione dell'album di debutto. L'improvvisa morte di Rob e la conseguente chiusura della sua etichetta personale ha congelato l'uscita del disco. Until now!
